ARLETTA WATER RESOURCES

+WATER WELLS & GROUNDWATER SUPPLY

Our professional Hydrogeologists collaborate with water well drillers on pump tests to conduct aquifer evaluations. We collect and analyze groundwater chemistry for drinking water, irrigation, livestock watering, and other purposes, determining if the groundwater is suitable for its intended use. Efficient pumping of groundwater through effective water-well design ensures that you can maximize your water security investment for your business or home. A properly designed well can result in lower energy and maintenance costs, and it provides the peace of mind of having a safe and reliable water source.

+SEPTIC FIELDS

Residential subdivisions and rural commercial developments likely require onsite septic field installation. These systems typically require some level of soil evaluation. GRIT Ltd conducts Private Septic Treatment Systems (PSTS) Level I, II, III and IV evaluations to ensure the underling soils can meet the requirements for a conventional or mounded treatment field.

+DRY WELL ASSESSMENT

Many developments require storm water investigations and may lead to the installation of a dry well to manage storm water runoff. Analysis of soil permeability to determine inflow rate and dry well capacity are important to the proper design of a dry well. We undertake various evaluations relevant to the project to assess dry well design and suitability.

+LINER EVALUATION

Seepage of leachate into the groundwater as water percolates through landfills and other facilities is of considerable concern. Consequently, developments and activities with a high risk of surface water contamination, including landfills, must be designed to contain this waste to prevent groundwater contamination. Previously installed liners may also require evaluation to determine continued suitability and function.

+DEWATERING

Below grade installations may become susceptible to flooding. Whether it is for permanent use, such as a basement or swimming pool, or a temporary excavation, groundwater infiltration can cause significant issues and additional costs. Through our dewatering investigation, we evaluate the hydraulic conditions underground and provide recommendations on a number of wells and placements needed. These studies are based on drilling and pump tests. We undertake analysis of the permeability of the ground to determine water levels and flow directions.

+GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal systems require a groundwater source for heat exchange. Knowledge of the amount of water that can be obtained from geothermal well supplies is necessary for proper design.
